Need Advice on OLD Tiger

Hi All. I have a 10 year old tiger salamander that is looking very sickly.. He has been losing weight for some time now, but only recently has he looked sickly.. He is very thin despite me hand feeding him silkworms and crickets couple times a week. He seems to have no energy to do basic stuff, like crawl into water bowl..(I have found him flipped over on back trying to get into it)

I was wondering if anyone has had success with using Pedialite or other electrolite stuff?? I have used both Pedialite and Repti-safe with my turtles, but NEVER an amphibian...Since they absorb rather than drink, don't know if it is safe..

Any thoughts??

Well Bille I just googled it and it says that there have been records of them living 20 years but that the avarge life span is 8 to 10 years so maybe it's just age...sorry to say this..
