Hello! I am new to your forum and would like some assistance. I have recently rescued a Tiger Salamander from my sump pump in my crawl space basement. It would have been unable to get out unless the power went out and the water rose over the edge. It is about 6 or 7 " long including the tail. I am trying to find something that it will eat until it is safe to release outside. He/she does not want pelleted turtle or goldfish food, or mealworms. I have changed it's home to more of a terrarium than a pond and threw in some sow bugs/pill bugs from the greenhouse because I saw that mentioned. I don't know if it is eating though. Do you have any advice? I have the tote in my greenhouse which is humid with a temperature range of 65-90 degrees F.
Thanks

Thanks so much for your advice and the literature. It was very helpful in getting him in a more comfortable situation and I am happy to say that he is eating. I don't know how long he had been awake and without food, but he seems really hungry now. When the ground thaws out here I will release him, but he should be in good condition now. Thanks very much from Lucky and I!
