Naughty 'lotl!

I was feeding my axies a treat (waxworms) this evening and Pinky decided to jump - almost out of the water - and knock the pot with the worms into the water!
In went the worms, sawdust and wood shavings. There followed 20 minutes of 2 axies trying to gobble up worms, managing to get some wood shaving too (they are 8" so I'm not too worried) me frantically trying to scoop up worms & wood and trying to make sure the other 2 get some worms too.

Now I know Pinky thinks with his stomach, and I know I was feeding them late this evening - but does anyone else have an axies who would jump out of the tank for food? Should I be worried? Pinky is on the plump side, definately not starving to death, no sign of parasites, fungus, illness or anythign else.

I wouldn't be worried... My flatmates female axy is very aggressive when it comes to feeding time and often jumps around for the food. Some axy just love food a whole lot more than the usual food loving axy

My Einstein is getting to be that way, too. There seems to have been one or two instances of lotls jumping out of their tanks recently. Would hate for that to happen. Are you going to put yours on a diet for a day or two?
