Naming Newts

Hi
A random question.
Me and the girlfriend are getting some newts together and we have been thinking names. We thought of all the silly ones like fluffy and so on. Even thought Disney names. Decided call them names like minion, igor, pebbles and so on.
Just wondering what names other people use

I have Thad (axolotl), Einstein (roughskinned newt), Wheezy (jefferson's sal [get it?!]), Mario, Luigi, and Toadstool (tigers).

Most of my newts have names. My favourites are my four original chinese fire bellies which are called Snockrigg (after the place where my partner did his geology thesis), Merlin (after the mythological wizard), D'Artagnan (the fourth muskateer!) and Steve McQueen (because he's cool in the great escape).

I think my advice is be as original as possible!!! Name them after things, people or places you like, regardless of how silly they sound.

My axolotl are Jeffrey, Bruce and Captain...all named by the kids. The only other thing I have named, other than the cat and the kids is one Triturus marmoratus...and he is called Marmaduke. I am pants with names, so nothing else has one.

our fire bellies got called Carly, Chad, Evan, Nora, Pyro and Teddy, we have just got another one which hasn't been named yet.

Our marbled newts are called Pitch and Viridis

Our late kaiser's spotted newts were called Tyler and Perry (the 'toxic twins' - aerosmith reference)

My Axolotl names are in my signature.
I just steal my names from movies/tv shows or come up with them based on personality.

Thanks feedback, we have decided on some and have ideas for future newts.

only a few of mine have names, mainly because they stand out in some way.

There's Hannibal, the alpine newt, who grew up unassisted in her parent's tank mainly by eating her smaller siblings.

There's Horny...smooth newt on a mission..
Shy Boy (my one cyanurus male, who is a bit intimidated by his three large girlfriends)
The Fat Lady (alpine newt, laying machine)
The crocodile (alpine newt who looks like a gator)
