Myspace

Hello All In C.org World,

Is there a Caudata.org Myspace? There is a Myspace group for just about everything else. I know Caudata.org isn't really associated with any Advertisement sites or anything but Myspace isn't too bad with pop-ups its mostly just annoying banners and stuff.

I have to side with Ali here (good call, btw). Myspace is a plague sweeping the Internet. It's currently the "in" thing to talk about or have something to do with, if you're any way Internet literate. Even my wife is complaining about her friends talking about it.

Being a bitter old-youngish man, I hope myspace dies a quick death (no offence Hayden).

I hate myspace quite a bit also but its so addicting. Its like KoL or internet crack or something. It won't let you delete your account and with an account it is too tempting not to go on it. I just thought I remembered some of the old chat room crew(Pete, Dot, etc.) discussing myspace ages before I got it.

Wow, I found people who agree with me! I must agree that it is a "plague" and John puts it. I've read in the news lately headlines like "Teens putting themselves at risk online" referring to myspace.

And I suppose the temptation isn't for everyone, Hayden. My very best friend lives far away now and only uses myspace so I was forced to make a profile in order to comment back to her. My page has absolutley NOTHING on it. Not to make you feel weak or anything, Hayden. Hehe. Alright...back to newt business.

I was trying to register a domain name for my artwork and writing - My space wasn't among the choices I had in mind.

I think My space is terrible. Any company that won't let you delete your account is cracked.

Yeah, I know that Jeff. It just won't let ME delete mine I should've said. The instructions don't work correctly for me.

Everyone may think its terrible but for an aspiring artist its a great outlet to the world.

Everyone's entitled to their opinion regarding MySpace. I don't particularly think it's the devil or a "plague" but I don't spend hours upon hours hoping for someone to "friend" me.

I think it's all in a matter of how you look at it. I get tons of creepy "let's meet up" messages and I think they're hilarious. My theater group uses it to promote our shows and goings-on to local people who wouldn't generally see it. I've reconnected with several friends that I'd not spoken to in years through MySpace, though certain aspects are rather annoying. (IE: I haven't recieved any MySpace mail at my c.org e-mail account in close to a year and it won't let me change my e-mail account, but I digress.)

I am not a fan of MySpace, but like everything it will die out...So for know we just have to put up with everyone talking about it....
