Thanks , after much reading in here about gravel I totally went for sand! I hope I don't offend anyone but I'm not too sure why people would want to use gravel after all the awful things that can happen to the axies??

I keep juveniles this small without any soil, just on the bare bottom.
It's much easier to clean the tank...

lol now these babies are now juvies...they have gotten huge! They are all probably about 15cm long now
