I have 6 babies, just over 1 inch (2.54 cm), separated from each other because they're cannibals right now. Only 5 are totally visible in the pics. The substrate is Eco-Complete Sand, intended for cichlids, but great for plants. This brand comes with live bacteria, so my axies were removed when I added it. I like it. My siphon vacuum doesn't pick it up unless I jam it in, for now, it's easy to clean up. We'll see when they get bigger and start throwing it around.

The little guy on the second level of this breeder compartment is growing back a lost arm already.
They're big fans of live brine shrimp. They get rotated every 24 hours so no one shrivels from lack of exercise or food.
