Okay well I'm a very impatient person and I've been testing the ammonia level in my tank every couple of days four about a week and half now (fisheless cycle, pure ammonia) and on the off chance tonight I tested for nitrites and I got a reading for about 1.0ppm
which I wasn't expecting as I hadn't seen a drop in ammonia when I did the test this morning so I did another test for ammonia and it has indeed dropped since this morning so that was quick!
1st one is my Nitrite test 2nd one is my ammonia test I did afterwards 3rd one is that mornings ammonia test
So now I just wait for my ammonia level to drop to 0ppm? and then top it back up to 4-5ppm?
also on a separate note I've washed some terracotta pots to use in my tank and I've put them in a bucket to soak for 24rhs and the water has gone slightly murky is this normal?
