The setup looks great to me, he has a lot of room to swim around , and plenty of places to hide.
If you had large stomes to the bottom of the tank it may look esthetically better, but having the bare floor is great for cleaning up

I give it a thumbs up:p

Hi Andrew,

You have done a fantastic job. Your tank set up has obviously taken into consideration all the dos and don'ts of axolotl care.

This is especially evident with your healthy happy axolotl smiling at the camera. I love the rich chocolate colour by the way. Thats what fascinates me with wildtypes, they come in such a spectrum of shades.

Regards.

Looks great to me!

Cheers guys. Good to hear :D

The tank is 60*25*30. I used to keep him in a 45*26*29 but that was too small. It was the tank I had when I bought the Axie but reading everything since then and seeing how active my little guy was I started planning for a new tank and this is the result :D

Love your axolotl and really like your tank too. What's the thing on the left beside the log hide (looks like a bag of gravel)?

He (I think it's a he) is about 15cm long. As for that little bag it's an ammonia/nitrite remover.

*sigh* air pump just broke

Never even heard of one of those, let alone seen one. Thanks for the info, and good luck with the air pump
