So I keep my axolotl tank in the computer room which gets rather warm. We plan on getting a chiller down the road.
I read in another thread about using a USB fan to cool the tanks and this is my little set up I made.
It uses a targus USB hub with 4 USB spots (can only use 3 for power reasons), 3 USB fans, an extension cord and a power adapter. I have it command velcro stripped to the wall.
It cooled the tank from 70 to 66 over a period of about 8 hours so I'm pretty happy with it so far. Will have to see how it goes down the line.
In case anyone else wants USB fans like these, I got these at Walmart on clearance for $1 per fan. I have roughly 15$ invested in this fan set up.
