wow that looks pretty cool tina! whats that wierd bone like thing in the middle? some sort of shell? bet your axies will love it once its already to go

The bone like thing is a symbolic figure carved out in stone. My boyfriend bought it for me as a gift. It resembles two people hugging and kissing and I believe it's a symbol for eternal love..

you might be able to make out the people in the second picture

wow great tank, i like all the plants and the symbolic figure looks great!. your axies will love it

Thats one cool looking tree root you have there.

Your axie(S) will love romping their way through your jungle of plants.

Please post some more pics when you have your axies in there.

I'll post some new pics when I put my axie in there.;)

love the root, lots of spots for ur axies to explore ;)

Are all those live plants? It looks gorgeous!

Is the root actual, true driftwood, or is it grapewood sandblasted to resemble driftwood? Driftwood will turn your water orange (leaks tannic acid, not usually a problem if you do regular water changes, just a little unsightly), and grapewood is toxic.

The roots are from the mopani and mangrove trees. They will make the water slightly acid and dark over time. I've combined four roots to get a larger rootformation.. You get theese roots for aquarium use in all petshops in Norway. And the plants are live ones too.

Wow...! all those live plants. I think you did a really great job. Your axies are gonna love it.

Tina, your tank is wonderful!

It's going to be breathtaking when the plants have grown bigger and filled out, it would look like a lush natural axolotl forest, so very pretty

Dear All, I would appreciate some help identifying P. waltl disease and treatment. We received newts from Europe early November and a few maybe 3/70 had what it looked like lesions under the legs- at that time we thought maybe it was the stress of travel- now we think they probably had "red leg syndrome" (see picture). However a few weeks later other newts started to develop skin lesions (picture enclosed). The sender recommended to use sulfamerazine and we have treated them 2x and we are not sure they are all recovering. Does anyone have any experience with P. waltl diseases and could give some input on this? Any input would be greatly appreciated! Thank you.
