My new Mudpuppy!

So after my shift I decided to check out the gift shop, maybe I would find a gift for someone, plus i get 20% off! Hooray for discounts. I found the coolest little neon toy figure of one of my favourite little dudes-the mudpuppy. They do not display any mudpuppy at the aquarium, but, i know in the rocks in lake michigan behind the aquarium when we used to smelt fish behind the aquarium people would often capture mudpuppies(and let them go) in their smelt nets.
Too bad I could not get a good shot of the Caecilian in the Amazon exhibit, oh well I have plenty more days to get a snap of him.
I hope my mudpuppy enjoys living above the main axolotl house.

Hey AnnMaire, I have this mudpuppy too!!! I put it on top of my Olive's new home now!
But I don't have that tag on it's leg.!
 
It is a nice toy! Glad other people have one too and/or enjoy it.

Morrissey, I rember you had some nice salamander toys, also.

    Dear All, I would appreciate some help identifying P. waltl disease and treatment. We received newts from Europe early November and a few maybe 3/70 had what it looked like lesions under the legs- at that time we thought maybe it was the stress of travel- now we think they probably had "red leg syndrome" (see picture). However a few weeks later other newts started to develop skin lesions (picture enclosed). The sender recommended to use sulfamerazine and we have treated them 2x and we are not sure they are all recovering. Does anyone have any experience with P. waltl diseases and could give some input on this? Any input would be greatly appreciated! Thank you.
