I just got my long awaited axolotls on tuesday, and wanted to share them with you all.
Julio is the golden albino. Bowie is the Leucistic. Sagan is the wild type. They are about 2.5 inches long.
So far they all seem very healthy and happy! I've been feeding them live bloodworms and frozen brine shrimp. I've also ordered some soft-salmon pellets so I should get those today or tomorrow.
The only strange thing I've noticed is that Sagan will sometimes swim around the tank for an hour straight. He doesn't seem distressed... he just swims non-stop. He also likes to sit in the ONE small area of the tank that has flow from the filter (I have a Top Fin with the flow set as low as possible, and am using the plastic bottle trick to disperse the flow even more, and a filter sponge attached directly beneath the output on the water's surface). It worries me because flow can stress them but he always goes back there.
Anyways, here are some pictures of them! I'm glad to join the community of axie owner's and love them already!

I don't know the genders yet, obviously, but even if they all turn out to be girls I think I'll keep the names. That's how much I like them.
