I was at a market the other day and saw this little guy, well actually he's not little he is twice the size of my other 3 axie's and just had to have him ( yes i asked he is a guaranteed boy ) he is such a gentle giant, he has already settled in so well! He also adds a nice contrast to the other 3 ( thanks joan! )
Having so much trouble naming him my other three i just looked at and went yup thats your name...
Thinking maybe...
Ash?
Cobalt?
Henry?
Any suggestions would be great!

He is a little hard to photograph because he is so active!

That's a little better

I think ash is a good one. just make sure that your axies dont eat that gravel

Thanks,
Ash was my first choice so I think i will stick with that, thanks for the heads up on the gravel but my axies seem to enjoy pushing it around and making mini mountains rather than eating it. I was considering sand but so far haven't had a problem with the gravel and dont want to take away one of their play things...

From the slight angle I could see of him it does look like a he! But you really shud have quarantined him for 30 days b4 adding him, in case he passes something on that could make your others ill. So keep an eye on your healthy ones, anything out of the ordinary over the next few weeks then maybe separate them. Also, axies swallow when feeding and/or snuffling at night, not necessarily when we're watching. Our axies are still pooing out gravel (found 2 more pieces today) from their previous days of having resided on it (back in January/previous owners). So just because you don't see it don't think it doesn't happen. And, if they do poo it out, you wouldn't be the wiser it would blend in with the rest, whereas we have sand so can spot it quite easily.

BTW love the colouring tho

Thanks for that,
Sounds horrible but I regularly check their droppings for gravel and other nasties,

I have very irregular sleeping patterns so I spend ALOT of time watching my little ones,
the only reason i did not quarrantine Ash was because of where I got him. It sounds rather pressumptious but most my axie's are from this guy and his tanks are absolutely spotless and he seems to know everything there is to know about axie's!

Also breeds all his own axie's as well as goldfish and other aquatic animals.... I will still keep a very close eye but so far it's like Ash has been in my tank forever.

All the other axies swim up to him and snuggle. Also saw the most amazing thing last night, two of my axie's ( Pepper and Ash ) were swimming sort of in the middle of the tank cuddling each other although it looked like dancing cuz they were spinning around! So so cute!

I had a minor increase in my nitri/ate's so i added a pouch of "nitra-zorb" to my filter for around 72 hours and it seems to have worked... I have decided to not feed any of my babies for a few days, they were all given a meal on the 12th including my new axie so this should get them by as the tank adjusts, probably a good thing too for Axle she's a tubby lil girl..

Will resume feeding small amounts on the 16th, and putting the nitra-zorb in every couple of days just to help with removing the excess ammonia and nitri/ate's...
