I don't have decent pics yet, but 3 weeks ago someone in my local classifieds offered fire belly newts for sale, so I got them. They turned out to be Co's, and have been doing well - eating and staying aquatic. I think I may have a pair, but am not really all that good at determining gender on these guys so I will like some help on that from you lot as soon as I have some good pictures of them. Anyway, just thought I'd share,
Heather

So here are some pics of my Co's, and now that I have had them for a time I no longer think I have a pair, but rather two males. Tell me what ya'll think

nice. where did you get them?

They both have that little "indentation" between the tail and cloaca, so I suspect they are both male. They look nice and healthy.

Thanks Jennewt! They seem healthy to me as well. I should try to post better, more "dignified" pics of them next time. They were good sports about it, though!

They look like they're both male to me too..
Just wondering: Can you pick them up on their tails like that without any problems?
Lizards discard their tails if you do that.. weren't there sala's that did that too?
