(Sorry in advance if ive done this wrong)

Hi i was wondering if anyone could advise me on what to do with my newt. I have 4 chinese fire bellies and one japanese fire belly in a 60L tank, with floating platform and bridge for land area.

I bought them back in about August of last year and one was a bit fatter than the others but about 3 weeks after shed its skin and its skin became slightly darker. Now the same newt has gotten fatter than it was to start with while the others all look normal newt sized.

Was wondering whether it was bloat or not? And what to do about it, below is a picture but my camera quality isnt too good.

Is the throat swollen? It doesn't look to be, in that picture. Also, does the skin appear stretched in comparison to the other newts'?
I don't think it's bloat; my immediate thought was that the newt pictured is a gravid female. Probably best to wait for a few more responses however.
In the meantime, here's an article that could help you come to a conclusion:
Caudata Culture Articles: Bloat
If at all possible, a second, clearer picture may help people on the forum offer guidance.
Hope some of that helps,
Karl

Its throat doesnt appear swollen at all, but its skin does look stretched around its belly

It could just be fat, or gravid. It doesn´t look bloated to me either...
I would strongly recomend to separate the C.pyrrhogaster from the C.orientalis. Both being WC there is a risk of patogen exchange. Also, the two species have different adult sizes, and the pyrrhogaster may outcompete the others. There are also possible issues with agression, different toxins, etc...

Aha, just noticed the edit. That bottom picture gives a much better indication. I'm pretty sure it's not bloat now.
