Here's two pics of my cutie!!
He wouldn't even stay still when my dad tried to take a picture of him!! He's pretty active all day long except at 5-6 in the morning!

wow what a pretty axie! i love the colour of it!! the second photo looks AWESOME!!! looks like his eyes are glowing. wish i could find one that colour

Vanessa,

Thats a very nice axie, I have one the same as him... she started off with the name cheese as she look like a bit, But I've now settled on Milkybar!

I like it when he swims, he folds back his gills. Actually... I'm not too sure if it's a he... Dragoon II's already have black tips on his toe of which some people says that it's supposed to be sexually mature or something?
His eyes glowed when the camera's flash goes off.

The glowing eyes thing is really neat. All albino animals' eyes do that in camera flashes. I think it's a cool effect, but I know people who refuse to buy albino animals because their eyes really creep them out!

Great pictures Vannessa. Black toes on albino's and leucys usually indicate sexual maturity. Oh and I notice you have small gravel. Do you have problems with your axolotls swallowing it?

Um... Dragoon II actually spits them out once he 'filtered' the Brine Shrimps out like a Whale with their Baleen Plates. I hope none's eaten though but he's pretty funny when the next day I got up and looked at his tank... the gravels got pushed up into a mound nearly revealing the Under Gravel filter bottom part!! I flatten them anyway.

Hello!!! I'm new to this website and idk how to ask a proper question on the designated spot yet, so I'll ask here, I'm a first time Axolotl owner, and my dad used to run an aquarium store, anyways... Orca, my Axolotl, seems to loose parts of her toes on one limb from time to time, I can't seem to find the problem. Tempature is well, she doesn't seem to have any infections or anything, though. And I'm not sure if I'll be able to find a vet in Brazil for amphibians that are in a reasonable distance to drive without stressing Orca out too much

Hello, I’m hoping for some advice please. Our Axolotl is about 7 months old. Till now no problem. Eating, growing and happy. He’s simply stopped eating. Everything looks fine, his gills look healthy and no apparent signs of sickness. He just swims past the pellets and bloodworm like he can’t smell it. I don’t think it’s a blockage either. Any ideas and suggestions for treatment would be much appreciated. Thank you!

Dear All, I would appreciate some help identifying P. waltl disease and treatment. We received newts from Europe early November and a few maybe 3/70 had what it looked like lesions under the legs- at that time we thought maybe it was the stress of travel- now we think they probably had "red leg syndrome" (see picture). However a few weeks later other newts started to develop skin lesions (picture enclosed). The sender recommended to use sulfamerazine and we have treated them 2x and we are not sure they are all recovering. Does anyone have any experience with P. waltl diseases and could give some input on this? Any input would be greatly appreciated! Thank you.
