I'm using a Canon PowerShot A400 and these are my settings for indoor photography:
Exposure: +1/3
White Balance: Fluorescent H
ISO speed: 200
Effect*: Vivid
Compression: Fine
Light Metering: Evaluative Metering
Flash: none
Mode: Macro

*Make sure that you hold the camera very still while photographing. Several shots back to back is recommended to make sure you get the best photograph.
