Made it! My first cynops breed!
My sexed pair that a friend gave in mid october, started to lay eggs yesterday! yesterday the female put 20eggs on java moss and today put just 8 in hygrophylas leaves. She continues very fat, 20eggs out and she still the same. I wonder that she must got up to 100 inside! I can note a small line that divides the egg in two semi-shpears from those laid yesterday. Can i take out the hygrophylas leaves? I´m afraid it´s that taken out the leave it can die and the egg will die too..?
also who many till the embryo came out? can I feed them with pond water (with daphnia).
How bigger the larvae gets(cm) ? and, how many time (feeding intensively) till morph?
I cannot find nothing from this specie related informations...thanks,

Go ahead and snip and take out the eggs. Your main problem could be them getting eaten.

Yes, daphnia would be great for the babies.

eljorgo hows yours cynops? some photos please!

Congratulations, eljorgo! Photos would be nice;)

If the leaf from the Hygro dies around it, the egg will still be OK.

hey! hehe Ivan they´re doing just fine!! well know I have an average of 50? and have some more larvae in another small pot with the eggs. Jennewt, I have to say that... the merit wasn´t just mine... Ivan was the one that sended my in october the Cynops and he had a fundamental paper raising in less than one year my adults from aquatic juvies. Of course he gave me them for free witch I apreciated! thanks ivan! here are all the photos:

wow your going to have your hands full. Were you trying to breed them or did it just happen?

haha, to say true, was a mix. I had the basic breeding care and they did the rest without being expecting that, because of the extreme low age:dizzy:
greetings

what temp do you keeps them at, did you lower the temp for breeding?
