Hi all,
I'm new to the forum, as I just got my first Chinese firebelly on the 17th. Anyway, the first week with him went well, but since about Sunday I've noticed he's less active. He's spending less time in the water and more time on his turtle dock hiding in his fake tree. Also, he's being more seclusive, hiding deeper in the tree under the branches. He also seems to be eating less, because the food (blood worms) I gave him Sunday he barely touched and I think it started going bad or something (discolored, with white floatees in his food dish {I put a dish in the tank so that his food wouldn't float down and get stuck in the rocks}) so I replaced it last night with fresh food, which I'm not sure if he ate or not.
Any ideas as to what might be causing this behavior?
