So I come home from work to find my 2 new salas out o.o , but I'm rlly worried, the bigger one, one of it's legs looks fat and he holds it to the side I'm really worried. At first I thought the other one bit it off but it's still there just looks swolen

First, you need to be sure you're providing appropriate habitat. Is it cool enough? Is the moisture at the appropriate level? Too wet is just as bad as too dry.

And secondly, you need to make sure that habitat is secure. If your animal is escaping, you need a lid on your tank for sure.

I ment out of hiding >.<. As for moisture it looks good , not soaked but wet enough. I'm just worried about his foot, he came with it, and the person who gave it to me found it from outside

Salamanders are pretty good at healing. If it starts to look worse, you may need to take it to a veterinarian for treatment.

ok this is bad... :*( his Foot looks like its falling apart... and i cant afford vet visit , my aunt gave me a defective sala and i feel really bad :(

It's not a defective salamander. It's an injured salamander.

If the foot is that badly damaged, it probably needs to be amputated before it goes septic and kills the salamander. You really should consider a veterinarian. Many are willing to work with you if you can't afford them. I know I've had many a visit that was reduced or free because they were interested in working on animals they don't normally get to see, such as salamanders.

I'll have to look around for a local vet that can help , thanks

Brutus didnt make it...:mad:, some poor salamander had to pay the price of my (possibly me) Mistake... I'm a horrible person...

That's unfortunate. Don't beat yourself up too much; it happens to us all.

Trying my best to keep the other one from dieing of this Mysterious Illness i never found out

it happened... The one thing I was doing my best to avoid... My other sala now has a swolen back foot... Wth what could be cuasing this... :(

Poor habitat, parasites, previous illness. It could be a number of things. It's really impossible to tell without a lot more description, preferably with pictures.
