here is isaac brock and an as of yet unnamed girl. i am a dork who's into mythology and harry potter, so i was thinking maybe selene/luna (moon goddess), bellatrix, minerva, athena, you get the idea. any thoughts?

oh and here's my new non-caudate, an ocellated skink that i got for free at a reptile convention. there were no sals, which was upsetting, but i am happy with my pets.

I've always liked the moon so I would go with Luna. I don't think you're a dork.

hehe I love harry potter too ur not a dork....but i'd have to go with the anime (sailor moon) princess of the moon Serena or Serenity

I think you're a dork, but that's okay; I'm a dork too. However, i have no name suggestions!

Why don't you call it Pirgopolinice? He he he... it's a very complicate name, even for Italians, that I found on a comedy by Plautus, a latin poet of some hundreds of years ago.

And nice the ocellated... I usually find them in the little gardens of my city, Palermo... I love them, they're just great. Is it so simple to find them in the USA? And are they usually CB or do they come from liberty? Just wondering...

Ciao ;)
Fab.

mike, thanks for the compliment! i fund a spotted with even brighter, more pronounced spots that i might have join our happy family in a couple of months. problem is, i don't want any babies!

and fabrizio, i live in florida, where you see way more anole lizards and iguanas, but my friend thinks that he's seen blue-tongued skinks on the island that he lives on. i'm not sure if my skink is cb because the girl wasn't very informative. i'm taking him to my favorite reptile store to get more info.

i still can't pick a name!

Dear All, I would appreciate some help identifying P. waltl disease and treatment. We received newts from Europe early November and a few maybe 3/70 had what it looked like lesions under the legs- at that time we thought maybe it was the stress of travel- now we think they probably had "red leg syndrome" (see picture). However a few weeks later other newts started to develop skin lesions (picture enclosed). The sender recommended to use sulfamerazine and we have treated them 2x and we are not sure they are all recovering. Does anyone have any experience with P. waltl diseases and could give some input on this? Any input would be greatly appreciated! Thank you.
