Hi can someone plz help me

My axol was constipated and managed to pass a huge turd last Thursday but he hasn’t ate since :(

I’ve since been tubbing him since but I noticed yesterday that he’s got white fluff on his back and front toes could this be fungus? :( I guess he got it from stress pooping as he tried for 3 days or so??

I gave him a tea bath last night for 15 mins..

His mouth is slightly open too and doesn’t move much at all and he’s always been so active he will be one year old now too.

He gets blood worms / earth worms every 2/3 days.

I’ve tried to take photos but there not the best 😂

Can anyone advise me plz? Thank you.

I can't see any fungus but the legs look swollen and with the open mouth, I think he might have a bacterial infection.

thank you what could help with that??

If it's a short-toe as @wolfen has said, then the problem is genetic and cannot be fixed. Only a vet can actually diagnose whether there's another underlying condition such as a bacterial infection.

Ahh there’s no vets near me who would even see my axol sadly probably closest one is London which is 5 hours away. I wish I had a better phone to take photos as I can see white fluff on the end of his toes 😬😬😬 I’ll just carry on Tubbing and tea baths see if he improves as he’s hardly moving now. 🥺

Oh no! I'm sorry to hear :(
I hope the prognosis looks better soon and that lack of moving is just a day-time thing.

use 3.5g/l salt in the water to remove the fungus, methyline blue baths will help as will acriflavine baths (both should be available from pet shops and garden centres)

No problem thank you

Just thought I’d share an update as I took him the vets..

Turns out he’s got a fungal infection they looked at a bit of fluff off him and put it under a microscope and it’s fungus they’ve given me this to bath him in once a day for 11 days.. there making me up more as this won’t last me 11 days 😬 I’ve done one bath so far and back into his tub and allot of white fluff came out of his gills he’s moving allot more I’m putting him into another tub as so much fungus has came off him. I really hope it works as I had to pay for the full bottle of it as no other bottles were open 😬😂 it was really expensive but hopefully worth it! 🙏 photos are before treatment I’m going to upload photos after now too.

After.. you can see all the white stuff coming off him here weirdly it was coming out of his gills but not off his gills if that makes sense? Strange.
