Hello, I´m new member of Caudata.org, there are photos of my axolotls.

They were so small, few months ago, and now they are about 14-15cm long.

welcome to the forum, your axies are simply beautiful. Picture no 1 is very cute with a sweet smile.

I'm a little concerned about the size of some of the stones that are mixed in with your sand, but the axies are very lovely indeed.

thank you :)

...and small stones are now under the sand ;) (the photo is a bit old)

They are beautiful Axolotls

I see Ali000 beat me to the chase about the gravel substrate and the terrific tank set-up you've done.

So my first question is - what are their names? ;)

Cheers Jacq.

They´re nameless, because they are about 5 months old. I will give them their names when they will be adult. But one friend told me that he thinks that they are going to be females. But I think that it´s too early to identify their sex. Now I call them "lotlíci", that could be translated to english as "lotlies". :)

*sorry for my english, if something that i post there is wrong :)

Next year I will be moving to the house with the garden (that´s one of my dreams - now I live in a flat) and I have some big plans. :D I want to built up to three garden ponds (one for axies, one for central european newts like T. Vulgaris, T. Cristatus, maybe T. Alpestris and one for frogs - Hyla Arborea). And before that, I want buy some BIG tank for my axies and some more types of axies like albino, golden albino and melanoid and I would like to breed them.:D

There is the whole tank (30.4.2008.)

I´ve rebuilt my tank. Enjoy the photos:wink:

Some plants are small, but they will grow up very quickly .)

...and one non-axo photo:) (but beautiful)
