My Axies new fave place to sit

A few weeks back I bought a new hideout for my axies as they were getting to big for the old ones however Spongebob prefers to sit on the side peering over instead of inside. Looked so cute so though I should share.

I have a backdrop like this, but my axolotl would rather sit inside his 'cocohut' He's really starting to get too big, but he manages to squeeze himself in there, somehow.

Did you have to do anything to the cocohut before you put it in the tank, like soak it? I saw some in my LFS and think my little Hoshi would love one because he is still tiny compared to the other two but they looked like they would leech all sorts into the water so went with the 'if you aren't sure, walk away' approach

Oh, of course. I washed the cocohut thoroughly before putting it in the tank. I did soak it.

Seriously, he's like, 5' 1/2 inches and he can fit himself into a 2' 1/2 inch cocohut. It just doesn't make sense.
