Hi Guys

My little Neo has laid her first batch of eggs. Ive been busy setting up a daphnia culture in an old tank outside and ive put some blood worms in there too. I hope they don't eat each other but i think they are veggie too. I have seen glass worms swimming round munching on daphnia when my axies got a feast treat before i got my wormery. I have also got a brine shrimp setup ready to go nearer the time.
Ive put most the eggs in a tupperware box floating in the main tank (i will remember to do water changes) and I have left a few harder to reach ones in the tank with mum and dad (see how they go).
I tried to start from eggs a year ago with no luck so I got some juvies. They are now the proud parents. I am wiser on the subject now and better prepared but any tips or advice will be gratfully accepted.
Wish me luck. :D

Also, do I now need to separate my two axies? I dont want her to become a tired baby making machine. I would be a shame, they get on so well. 6ft tank and they still sit on top of each other all day.

Congrats, sounds like you are well prepared. My first batch (which I was not prepared for) are just getting their back legs all 130 of them. It has been a great experience...I would suggest that you separate Mom and Dad, as we ended up with more eggs two weeks after the first ones hatched. Good luck with your eggs.

Eeek! More eggs two weeks after they hatch! I can't have that. Thanks for letting me know. Ive got a tank seperator coming for the babies when there a bit bigger. If its any good ill get another and divide it in three. Good job I got a big tank.
