Hi All, just wanted to share some pics of my 4 axolotls.

The two Golds are Consuela (female) and Sol (male). I have had them for about 9 months. They are a breeding pair and im currently rearing their babies.
The other two i have are:
A melanoid male who i couldn't help naming Django :violent:, and
A little Leucistic female I named Luna.
These two i have recently acquired in the last month. I orginally went to the pet shop to get one (Django) but decided to rescue Luna as well as she looked very underfed and like she was being bullied by the 3 other Axolotls in the display tank. She's missing some toes on 3 out of 4 legs but with some TLC in her new home i know she'll be much happier and eventually grow them back. She is so full of beans and cuddles up to Django often who almost seems annoyed whenever she does. Haha. makes for some fun tank watching.

Anyway, they've each got their own little personalities and im forever learning about them and Axolotls as a species.
Most satisfying hobby i'll ever have.;)

I'm glad there's people out there who don't just pick the "perfect" axies. I'm sure Luna appreciates her new loving home!

Dear All, I would appreciate some help identifying P. waltl disease and treatment. We received newts from Europe early November and a few maybe 3/70 had what it looked like lesions under the legs- at that time we thought maybe it was the stress of travel- now we think they probably had "red leg syndrome" (see picture). However a few weeks later other newts started to develop skin lesions (picture enclosed). The sender recommended to use sulfamerazine and we have treated them 2x and we are not sure they are all recovering. Does anyone have any experience with P. waltl diseases and could give some input on this? Any input would be greatly appreciated! Thank you.

sorry I am having a hard time trying to upload the pictures- I have them saved on my hard drive... any suggestions-the prompts here are not allowing for downloads that way as far as I can tell. Thanks
