Well, I've had this up for about a year and a half or so. I figure it'd be nice to post some pics.

This is the tank as a whole.

they seem to like swimming around in the java moss

I never have any problems finding all seven of them as they all immediately come up for food when they see movement.

My cyanurus are happy and probably the friendliest newts I own. On the negative side, this will be one of the most difficult things I have to move in a couple of months when my rental agreement is up. Honestly, I'd have more aquariums if it weren't for that little detail.

I love it!! Its to bad you have to move.

Great tank! I love the way you have the flat rocks stacked to make a sloping island. Where did you find the rocks? And are they attached in any way, or just holding each other up?

In my opinion, the stones look like an accident waiting to happen if they are not attached to each other.

The rest looks nice though!

When I used to breed african cichlids I would have an extensive, and tested, stack of flat rocks, usually limestone, in my tank. These rocks I just got from a landscaping distributor downtown. I have them interlocked in a stable manner and no movement, even of the tank itself can bring them down. I always make sure to try moving the rocks in every direction possible to ensure stability before risking my animals with them.

I wish I could find something to put on the top of the partially submerged rock so I could get some liverwort to "root", possibly some mosses too. I know that soil would get all over in there
