My 20g long paludarium project.

i might have a potential problem here. the great stuff expanded into a crevice that i cant really cover with silicone. it is right at the end of the aquarium intake in the waterfall so it will be exposed to water. i'm worried about the toxicity of the great stuff, and the fact that someone told me it doesn't hold up to water. is this true? do i need to do something drastic?

I've never worked with greatstuff, but completely cured it should be nontoxic. No idea on the water thing.

I have used sodium bentonite clay mixed with other substrates for backgrounds and it works very well. Easy to mold, ready for use right away, and will hold its shape as long as it doesn't dry out completely or become real waterlogged. For the area around the waterfall some carefully selected and camouflaged rocks/corkbark/wood would be best.

JMO, and hopefully someone with experience working with greatstuff will respond!
