Hey all with spring break coming up i have a question. I am in college and i have to go back home for 10 days for spring break and i was wondering if my two newts would be ok for that long if i brought them with me in a small reptile carrying container that is 12 inches by 8inches? That is a bit on the small side. Once you got home, I would head out to he local super store and pick up a cheap storage tub, like a Sterilite to keep them in. They come with lids, and you can get HUGE ones (like 60 quarts!) for 5 dollars or less.
A container the size you describe would require frequent water changes that will add even more stress to your pets..
