Moving breeding times.

hello, don't quite know where to post this so i thought how about here.

main question really is i want to try and bring the time my newts breed this year forward. so i'm slightly warming up my shed a bit more and so on, but do you think it would also be worth increasing the light hours for them?? just trying to trick them abit more??

any ideas any one?? don't quite know if it is worth it or not? any ideas

I´d say it depends on which species you are talking about. Some species seem to be affected a lot more by photoperiod, while others will breed regardless of pretty much anything except being healthy.
If you specify the species, someone will be able to help you further.

well, at the mo, it would be fire salas, crocodile newts and marbled to start with?
