hello
Crawl The Warrior King has finally starting morphing. His gills are really short and stubbly and his eyes are bugging out.
But my question is.....Do they sorta change personality? He is inside his rock and wont come out. Usually he was very playful and responded to me when I came into the room. Now he runs and hides under his plants or the hole in his rock. He usually gets all excited when he sees his worm, but not anymore. I just left the worm in his rock, do you think he will eat it? A few days ago it was the same thing with his pellets. I just left them on the bottom of the tank and later when I checked they were gone. Think he is scared of me now? Is this just because he is changing? Will his normal behavior come back when he is done? I wouls appreciate any advice.
Thank You.
Christine

Tiger salamander larvae become very tame as they get bigger but when morphing comes along they eat less and become a little more shy. When he morphs, he will probably have no interest in pellets. After being on land for a while, he will get used to you again and will recognize you with food. It will just take time to get him back to the sal you used to know.
