I'm new to this site and haven't a lot of experience with amphibians tons of reptiles though, just wondering if anyone can link me to a care sheet or any info on looking after morphed axolotls?

Iv'e found little info on the subject and what i have found just seems to be ''don't morph'' ect ect. this wasn't my intention though it has happened so any info would be great.

Cheers.

Thanks Heaps, They were housed in an indoor pond, maybe thats whats gone wrong?

Anyway heres one

they could have been Tigar salamanders

Possibly, considering i'm in Australia Tigers would be hard to come by i imagine?

From what i've read this doesn't happen so often so possibly tigers? i don't know.

He dosn't look that much like a tigar though. what where his conditions like?
E.G. tempurture.

The pond housed turtles originally, a friend put the axolotls in there when he moved, i have no idea what so ever about ph ect but the water temps around 24, air temps higher in the enclosure, there are numerous lizards ect in the enclosure, I just threw crickets mealworms or whatever insects i was feeding to the lizards in the water for the axos as well as some commercial pellets the pet shop told me to use as i couldn't really see them from the water plants, rocks and such, theres an albino that didn't morph who has since been moved into a tank for the time being.. i didn't intend to leave them in the pond this long but iv'e been stuck at work too much.. So would general tiger care be the way to keep these guys healthy?

the pond was to hot for the axie probably one of the reasons it metamorthed. what is the tank temp of the albino. is the metamorthed axie still with the large reptiles? what type of reptiles are they. e.g. monitor lizard?

Yes, absolutely :) you might have seen this care sheet already but have a look through if not.

Well done for moving the remaining axolotl into a tank - take a look round this board for info on how to keep this axie healthy and happy.

The axis tank is now at around 18-19c, its on its own.
The morphs i have moved to another enclosure also, so far i have just put topsoil/ sphagnum in the tank, waterfowl, and kinda moistened on side of the enclosure, tomorrow i will elaborate more on their home.

There are numerous geckos in the enclosure and a few small skink species, the axe and the two morphs are no longer in there though.

Awesome i will read up on tigers now.

Thanks for you're help.

They seem well, one is stronger and more energetic than the other though

good to hear there well. do you have any more pics of them?

I'll take a couple now, hard to get photos as they are always covered in dirt and stuff.

Bad phone pics..Sorry.
