Here's Puckles again, and then the two of them together with the black sand background.
I worried about them swallowing sand, so I bought a smooth dish designed for feeding reptiles, and put it onto the sand in the corner - I've been teaching them to eat here everyday ... Pavlovian response with mud puppies !!

They're very cute.
I wouldn't worry too much about them swallowing sand, it passes easily through them
