Wow! He's a very handsome guy!

What kind of colouring would you say he is?? Technically melanoid? I don't know too much about how to tell the dark ones apart.

Small axies do swim around more than adults - i think. I wouldn't worry about it.

He's beautiful btw, love his 'lipstick'

well he doesn't have spots so i guess melanoid. but i dont know much about colors and types. its hard for me to tell or remember. but yea it do look like he got lipstick

Yup he's a melanoid. You can tell because of his eyes. He doesn't have the reflective ring or anything just BLACK! lol. But a beautiful axie!

it all depends on his age and i cant tell what size he actually is from the pics but id say he is a she.lol

Dear All, I would appreciate some help identifying P. waltl disease and treatment. We received newts from Europe early November and a few maybe 3/70 had what it looked like lesions under the legs- at that time we thought maybe it was the stress of travel- now we think they probably had "red leg syndrome" (see picture). However a few weeks later other newts started to develop skin lesions (picture enclosed). The sender recommended to use sulfamerazine and we have treated them 2x and we are not sure they are all recovering. Does anyone have any experience with P. waltl diseases and could give some input on this? Any input would be greatly appreciated! Thank you.
