My black axolotl laid her first ever batch of eggs just about a fortnight ago. I was very excited, and have been monitoring them daily.

This morning, the same axolotl is laying more eggs. Is this normal?! My other female, although looking larger than normal, has laid none. Should I worry? Please help!

I have a question - is there a male in your tank? Otherwise the eggs are unfertilized...

That is normal if you didn't separate the female from any males. If that is the case you should definitely separate them because otherwise they may continue to breed and that is very hard on the female's body. Egg production robs their body of nutrients and can weaken them.

the axolotl will not lay unfertilised eggs, so unless you have any other axolotls, your other female is a male
