Mixing taricha granulosa with other newts

I've heard a lot of horror stories about mixing different newts together. I have two tanks set up right now. One is a 20 gallon with 3 newts, and the smaller one is only 5 gallons with one guy.

Anyway, I saw a small ribbed newt in the shop the other day and really liked it. I was wondering if that particular newt could get along with my guys. Also, I'm interested in some Easterns as well. How should those guys fare?

Thanks. I have read those in the past, and I've pretty much decided to leave my guys separated. I'll probably get another tank in the fall and set it up for a different species. I really like that ribbed newt I saw. He was all silver with black dots. Real cool looking.
