Mixing Ambystoma

Not wanting to get involved in the species mixing wrangle currently in progress. I thought I'd ask my own mixing question. Can similar sized ambystoma species be mixed in the same enclosure? I was thinking of maculatum and opacum. I'm guessing they co-exist in the wild. Any pitfalls?

Has anyone noticed that there's a post about firebellies + clawed frogs stuck at the bottom of the help section thread list? weird... a job for the moderators.

i'm not sure, i've read in a book that the author kept them together, i suppose it could happen...
