Hello! I'm a brand new poster on this site and I just need some help from anyone who knows what they're doing.
I have an axolotl named Eggs who I've owned for quite a while, and she is very dear to me. However, she's come down with a very minor fungal infection (Just a little ball of fuzzy fungus at the tip of one of her gills). I have been treating her with daily salt baths in a separate container. (3 Tsps. of Pond Salt dissolved into a liter of filtered, dechlorinated water) but this has been ineffective. It will cause the fungus to fall off, but it will return very quickly. I do have a 30 ML bottle of Methylene Blue on hand, and I'm wondering if I can add a small amount directly into the tank? She is currently in a 20 Gal long with a sponge filter. Googling and reading articles hasn't really helped much, so I hope you guys can help. I was thinking about only adding 1 drop, but since she's and amphibian, I don't know if that will be safe. Thanks for the help!
