Gosh, she looks a totally different colour here. Is she a copper? I'm jealous of you Aussies and your coppery ways!

(for anyone else looking, El already knows about the stones ;))

Looks like a nice olive. Must admit I thought it was a golden albino from the first photo you posted.

Regards Neil

Thats a great color. In Perth, we only get golden/albinos, wild types and melanoids. I have never seen a leucistic axoltol before let alone a copper/olive one.

S/he is a keeper.

Thanks guys :p Inca's ego just went through the roof haha
The lady at the reptile shop told me she'd never seen one her colour before - so I'll have to tell her that she's apparently a copper!

Yet we manage to frequent may of the same stores and I've seen heaps of Leucs and olives.... must just be a timing thing

She is beautiful, I though she was golden in her pic on the other thread  A beautiful OLIVE axolotl!

Gosh - you guys are making me blush  But I'm glad that people who know more than I think she's something special.

I got some more photographs of my little lady; one yesterday (with the old, deadly substrate) and one today (with the new, non-deadly substrate).

THANKYOU MEWSIE! I owe you one dude. Seriously - THANKYOU.

In other, more recent and worrying news - Inca still hasn't eaten. I've had her for four days now and she is refusing to even snatch my offerings. I'm really concerned.
I've tried bloodworms (NOTHING), crickets (She took one this morning, chomped on it for a while and let it go) and a beef heart tablet (NOTHING). If she doesn't eat soon I'm worried she's going to make her system shut down... AND - I cannot find anywhere that sells earthworms in Canberra...
I'm getting really worried now. I'll keep you all posted on how she's tracking.

Do you have a bunnings near you??? They sell worm farm starter kits(just the worms) and from memory you get 200 worm for around $60.....

I think Inca maybe a boy judging from the bump between his legs as seen in the first of the last two pics you posted. I guess Inca could also be a boys name?

Regards Neil

Half the time Inca gets called 'it' anyway :) Thanks Neil.

I shall have to have a bunnings shop methinks ;P

Here is the new plant I got Inca today :)

your tank looks great.

earthworms are the best option. bunnings will have starter worm farms and I can almost guarantee that after you wash them well your axie will snap them up quick smart.

It is a male copper colloured axolotl, I would love to have a copper female but they are very hard to find.
