Hey guys I just found a massive log (poo) in my tank, take a look if you dare

I was wondering why my male wasn’t too hungry. It was in better when it was in the tank it was more consistent and didn’t have rocks in it I also found a worm in it (earth worm) could this be the cause and is it big or is it just me? Wow I did not think axie poos smelt but this one does.

whoa! maybe that should go into axie world record for largest poo. poor axie! The earthworm didn't get digested? Owl poop is cool, you can find bones in it. That's a pretty graffic picture of poo. I have to go hide now. I'll be back when the light of day causes my shadow and scares me from my hiding place.

well there were a couple of worms in it and they were half digested you they looked like skinny little poos in the poos

'comes out of hiding' they probably couldn't get digested properly because of the rocks in their bellies. Have you seen war of the worlds yet Nathan? was it shown there in Australia yet? It was shown in Ireland. it's such a great movie I loved it! But feeding the worms to the Axies reminds me of the movie. If you haven't seen it or anyone else hasn't yet, I won't say why so i won't ruin the movie. Go watch it, it's worth it! 'hides again poo is scary'

nah i haven't seen it but it is out in australia i may have to take a look

there was no rocks in the poo at all those rocks on the outside were from picking it up with the net i always hand feed my axies.

oh i see

Yes, go see the movie, and everyone else too! IT's great

could that not just be regurgitated worm? because they can digest worms and their poo usually looks like a guinea pig pellet but bigger.

MY GOD! Run Away Run Away! This reminds me of a rather scary / sad / amusing incedent I had with one of my axies when I started feeding worms. I gave Phil a worm, everything going fine.... until about 30 minutes later when thew worm emerged, still alive, NOT from Phils mouth. I don't know how it managed to crawl through him, but safe to say I now cut my worms into pieces.

Well it is not likely to be regurgitated because it was it poo shape originally and was imbedded in around 7mm of poo (without going into to much detail)

Hello!!! I'm new to this website and idk how to ask a proper question on the designated spot yet, so I'll ask here, I'm a first time Axolotl owner, and my dad used to run an aquarium store, anyways... Orca, my Axolotl, seems to loose parts of her toes on one limb from time to time, I can't seem to find the problem. Tempature is well, she doesn't seem to have any infections or anything, though. And I'm not sure if I'll be able to find a vet in Brazil for amphibians that are in a reasonable distance to drive without stressing Orca out too much

Hello, I’m hoping for some advice please. Our Axolotl is about 7 months old. Till now no problem. Eating, growing and happy. He’s simply stopped eating. Everything looks fine, his gills look healthy and no apparent signs of sickness. He just swims past the pellets and bloodworm like he can’t smell it. I don’t think it’s a blockage either. Any ideas and suggestions for treatment would be much appreciated. Thank you!

Dear All, I would appreciate some help identifying P. waltl disease and treatment. We received newts from Europe early November and a few maybe 3/70 had what it looked like lesions under the legs- at that time we thought maybe it was the stress of travel- now we think they probably had "red leg syndrome" (see picture). However a few weeks later other newts started to develop skin lesions (picture enclosed). The sender recommended to use sulfamerazine and we have treated them 2x and we are not sure they are all recovering. Does anyone have any experience with P. waltl diseases and could give some input on this? Any input would be greatly appreciated! Thank you.
