Mass Tank Size confusion

Alright I have been doing lots of reading and frankly nothing says the same thing and I am getting irritated. I am in the process of getting 2 Axies, and I need to know what size of tank to put them in. I am confused because lots of posts on here say bigger is better, but the website that is recommended a lot http://www.axolotl.org/faq.htm says questoin #8 a 10 gal aquarium is ok for 2. So what is it? Also I seem to not be able to find anything bigger then a 10 gal w/o paying a ton of money. So any help would be apprciated.

Everyone has their own opinions on how much space axies need. The 10gal for 2 axies is ok I think. The bottom line is, the more space they have, the more buffer they have against ammonia and temp fluctuations. Plus, they are less likely to be aggressive against each other in more space cause it takes alot more to bump into each other. That being said, I have 2 young ones atm in a 2ft tank and they dont attack each other at all but I am planning on moving them to a 3ft tank when I get the money.
Some people have found cheaper tanks online second hand and some choose to build their own. Just some alternate options there.

i try to give each axie at least 40x35cm of floor space each.

check in your local trade and exchange mags, ebay etc for great tank deals, theres alot of people out there with tanks just sitting in their garages they dont want!

Thanks for replying I was just confused and frustrated I plan on trying to get a 3 foot one right away, but if I have to I will get a 2 foot. At the moment I have tons of 10 gals in storage I really don't know where they all have come from, some I know wouldn't hold water. Anyways I found some online and I am planning to go to the local pet store today they normally give me good deals on things, because I buy tons of stuff there. At the moment I have a 24, 90, and 180 salt water set up, wishing I would have put fresh water in the 90 though. Anyways was just surprised at the price of tanks as I was looking around.
