Can a marbled salamander and a tiger salamander live together harmoniously? I know salamanders can sometimes eat other salamanders, but since a marbled is maybe a little over half the size of a tiger, would the tiger leave it alone as too big for prey? Even if there’s no predation, would they stress each other out sharing a 25-gallon terrarium?

In my experience, Tiger salamanders shouldn’t even be kept with other tigers. Even if the potential victim is too large to be swallowed, they can be injured by the other salamander. Tigers have a strong feeding response.
I think keeping a marbled with a tiger would be inviting problems.

Personally I would never mix amphibians. In a small habitat you just don't know what kind of incompatible skin secretions there might be that build up and become an issue. As already mentioned, tiger salamanders have a grab now and ask questions later food response.

If a tiger salamander even believes for a second that a food item will fit in its mouth (even if it clearly will not) it will attempt to swallow it. Adult tiger salamanders dwarf marbled salamanders so I cannot see it working. No tankmate is safe where a tiger salamander is involved.

Thanks to all of you. The little marbled salamander is going to remain safely solitary.
