marathon run for newts

on September the 14th I am to be running the mablethorpe marathon, and trying to raise funds for potteric carr nature reserve in Doncaster

The reason I have chosen to run for this reserve is that it is an amazing site for the three species of British newts, and on my visits to the reserve I often see Triturus cristatus larvae swimming around in the specialy constructed fish free pools there.
As well as the newts though this huge site is a haven for bird and animal life alike, and is well worth a visit if you can get there.

I ran the marathon in a time of 3 hrs 41 minutes 42 seconds managing to raise around £250 for this newt friendly nature reserve
