Hey guys! Went on a rescue mission this morning... I saw this little guy on craigslist yesterday and knew it needed help. Severely under fed, ammonia burned gills and tail... We quickly found out they had a sibling as well, a slightly larger melanoid. The mel is in MUCH better shape, just slightly under fed (Not pictures.) We are just so glad we got them out a difficult situation. It's going to be a long road back to recovery for this little guy, but we're up to the task. They're eating already which made me happy. I have them in their own tank for now. Planning on keeping them there for at least 6 weeks. If anyone has had a similar rescue mission, please share with me any tips you have. Pictures below.
