Male or female?

Hi.
I was given this axolotl today.I don't know how old it is but its about 8 inches. Is it male or female? I'm thinking female,but they are very rare in South Africa so I haven't seen many to get a good idea..Its lacking any bumps but it does not have the fat look of a female.
What you think?

I also have two smaller leucustics so will wait till they bigger to get them sexed.
