Hi

I cant seem to sex my axies despite having them for nearly 18 months. Can you tell me what you think from this pic. I would be very greatful for opinions. If you need better pics please say. I also have another 3 axies which i have no idea about either which i will get photos of asap. Thanks a lot folks

Dave i would say that your axies is female... but i cant be sure.

If you can post a pic of each of the showing between there back legs would be great.

I mean get them to swim up to the surface of the water and take a under belly shot.

Males tend to have a bulge between there back legs and females tend to have bigger bellies.

Hope to see the pics soon so we can help you out more.

Ok i have not been able to get a belly shot as yet and the light is rapidly fading so will try again tomorrow but does this help any of u at all?

Ok that's a female.
Dave check out the foto album section. I posted piccy of male and female sexy bits for this type of question. i think I called it axolotl gender or something similar.

Nice chubby leucistic axie...

Axie diets never work. But chubby axies are happy axies.
 
But that looks like a very healthy axie. Females are almost always a little more plump than males (due to eggs). Beautiful gills, nice high tail fin. Lovely specimen.
 
Thanks for that Kaysie. Glad you like her(got it right this time) I have had her since she was very small. She was my first axie. I will post pics of my others soon
 
was just mooching through old posts and noticed this one that i hadnt read after i made a post....and why do people in here insist on being so hardfaced! i.e kaysie! well beyond childish!

and i apologise if i havent seen as many axololts in my life as you!
 
No point in sugarcoating anything, Jenny. We're all adults and live doesnt hand you everything on a silver platter. There are people you will run across who will be MUCH worse than me. Tough $*!T, chew harder.
 
Enough please...we are all adults here with many different experiences and many common axie related ones too.

There's no need to be abrasive or go looking for fights.

I'd like to think we have one of the best and friendliest forums around.

Please don't continue in this vein otherwise I will delete the posts as soon as I see them.
 
Mik needs some sort of vigilante theme song. I'm thinking old school "Batman" but "Axie-Man" doesn't sound right ....

LOL...it's not as if enuff people don't laff at me for wearing my undies on the outside of my trousers. But be warned my hand is poised over the delete button which i keep in my utility belt just in case
 
Mik, why delete when you can just use your superhero mind-reading powers to keep us from getting too rowdy? :D
