I have a beautiful baby copper gfp, and we kept them with their siblings. Every time I've done that I hadn't had any problems, but I suppose they weren't fed well enough because Clementine's (copper) gills on one side were way shorter. They were gorgeous gills too, iridophores. Will they regrow fine? What can I do to help?

it doesn't look like they have any fungus either. It's hard to say but I don't see any white bits on their gills. Should I give them a black tea bath just to be sure? I just find it odd how her siblings only went for her.

does the top left gill look concerning? The better quality image is Clementine before they got nipped.

Hi

The gills may or may not regrow its a toss up.

I use salt solutions to help prevent issues and to encourage gill growth and development.
