I recently put some white gravel into my paddletail newt tank (in hindsight, a bad idea cause the whole point of his dark coloring is to NOT be seen by predators) so that I could see him. But now looking at it, the tank is very bland with just a few large river stones for hiding, smaller ones for atmosphere and a little log as another hiding space. I need some green! And maybe a guppy....or snails. Mmm, snail snack!
What are hardy but easy plants to place in my tank? No duckweed or java moss, please. I don't want it completely taken over.
