Hi! I'm looking for a local axolotl breeder in West Michigan. I'll be adding a 2nd axie to my tank within the next 6 months. I'd love a melanoid one or one with some darker coloring (preferably not wild type). I'd need to know the gender of the new axolotl (still waiting to figure out the gender of mine) as well as the age. Mine is currently 8 or 9 months old (hatched December, 2020) If anyone knows of any local breeders that have a good reputation or someone nearby who can ship to Michigan, that would be great! Or if anyone has a younger axie nearby that they're looking to get rid of, let me know please! Thank you!

Following , I'm also looking for one. I did find some at Peru's in Lansing. They had Lucy's, they had the malinois, and they had one GFR yellow.

Oh sweet! How did you manage to find them? I figure they might know of other local breeders as well, so contact info for them might be helpful. I'll definately check them out though! Thanks!

Dear All, I would appreciate some help identifying P. waltl disease and treatment. We received newts from Europe early November and a few maybe 3/70 had what it looked like lesions under the legs- at that time we thought maybe it was the stress of travel- now we think they probably had "red leg syndrome" (see picture). However a few weeks later other newts started to develop skin lesions (picture enclosed). The sender recommended to use sulfamerazine and we have treated them 2x and we are not sure they are all recovering. Does anyone have any experience with P. waltl diseases and could give some input on this? Any input would be greatly appreciated! Thank you.

sorry I am having a hard time trying to upload the pictures- I have them saved on my hard drive... any suggestions-the prompts here are not allowing for downloads that way as far as I can tell. Thanks
